Convenience and Fine Homes Meet at Covell Village

Since Kelly has been closed between Danforth and Covell for the past few weeks, you may not have been by Covell Village in a while. I had the opportunity to check it out today. The construction in the area is moving right along and I think that once it's complete, this will be another welcome addition to Edmond.

In case you are not familiar with the ongoing project, Covell Village is a new multi-use development in Edmond, Oklahoma. The area will feature single family homes, luxury apartments, retail, and business offices. Covell Village is located on the southwest corner of Kelly and Covell in Edmond. The development is convenient to many already established businesses that include; Walgreens, Citizen's Bank, ATA Karate, Kumon, Pampered Pets and a US Post Office. Coffee Creek golf course is just about one mile north. Cheyenne Middle School is across the street on the north side of Covell along with the popular Mitch Park.

Covell Village is home to three housing additions and one luxury apartment complex. The housing additions include Glen Cove at Covell Village, Newbrook at Covell Village and Pembroke at Covell Village. Kiddos living in these fine new additions will attend John Ross Elementary, Cheyenne Middle School, and Edmond North High School. Neighborhood amenities include a pool, playground, and greenbelt areas.

  • The Glen Cove homes range in size from 1800 to 3000+ square feet. Many feature 3 car garages and are currently listed from $200,000 to $360,000.

  • Newbrook is a gated neighborhood with community lawn care. These homes are around 3000 square feet in size and are currently listed between $320,000 and $420,000.

  • Pembroke is also a gated community. These fine homes have a European feel and range in size from $350,000 to $450,000. They are 3000+ square foot homes.

  • The Enclave at Covell Village is a four story luxury apartment complex. It is scheduled to open in the spring of 2009. Construction is currently underway.

I cannot forget the portion of this exciting new development that has closed Kelly between Danforth and Covell! A new Lowe's Home Improvement Store is under construction and is scheduled to open later this fall. (By the way, Lowe's has a temporary hiring center by Hobby Lobby on Danforth.)

So, if convenience is what you are after; with homes in several price ranges Covell Village may be the perfect location for your next home.
